ActioNet, Inc Senior Field Support Tech in Atlanta, Georgia

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Field Support Tech located in Atlanta, GA. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.

Senior Field Support Tech

  • 5+ years recent desk-side experience in a medium to large networked computer support environment, with Microsoft Operating Systems and MS Office applications

  • Experience as a System Administrator, basic server and network troubleshooting and diagnosis, configuring Active Directory permissions, account configuration and security.

  • Experience with IT equipment asset management, and machine deployment including, imaging, and end-user data migration.

  • Well organized, reliable with the ability to work with minimal supervision and within deadlines

  • Able to provide remote laptop and desktop support using Bomgar or similar remote access tool

  • Working knowledge of BMC Remedy ticketing system

  • Strong working knowledge of networking environments and the ability to troubleshoot network connectivity for desktop PCs, laptops and printers

  • Working knowledge of configuring network printers and server print queues

  • Strong working knowledge of computers and computer software with an emphasis on supported software applications (i.e., office productivity applications, email clients, and various other applications)

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment

  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly

  • Documentation and reporting skills and ability to provide accurate, timely detail; Excel, PowerPoint and Visio experience a plus

  • Desire to learn and progress

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening, questioning skills and expedient follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Some project management experience a plus

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally

  • Must be able to multi-task

  • Professional appearance acceptable to the department is required

  • Ability to pass a Federal background check for Public Trust Clearance required

  • Ability to travel between sites (Approximate 25% travel)

  • Some weekend and after hours work may be required as needed

  • Will be required to support multiple field sites over various states

  • Must have ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Skills Preferred MCSE, MCP or A+ certifications are considered enhancements to applicants who possess these qualifications.
