Description

SUMMARY:Assists with the daily activities of the Headstart classroom.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Before school, assists in collecting and setting up equipment, toys and supplies to support the days activities.

Assists with the morning greeting of parents and children and follow-through on daily health check.

Follow the posted daily schedule to maintain the flow of activities throughout the day. Assists with scheduled activities.

Assists in maintaining a safe, healthy environment for young children.

Guides children in the selection of activities to provide the child centered small learning and/or individual learning.

Prepares lunch and breakfast or snack as needed. Cleans up after eating times as needed. Leave Kitchen clean and ready for the next days as needed.

Assists with cleaning and sanitizing toys and classroom equipment at the end of the day.

Maintains strict confidentiality of the department and clientele.
