We are offering an exciting opportunity a Paralegal to join a large corporation in the Cleveland area. You will be providing advanced paralegal and compliance support to the Legal Department, focusing on areas such as contract management, regulatory licensing, corporate governance, lease management, and intellectual property review. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal department and maintaining compliance within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain the company’s contract management database by accurately loading executed contracts and license renewals

• Set alerts and reminders for upcoming renewals and deadlines, ensuring all deadlines are conveyed to the appropriate team members

• Implement the company’s document retention policies, and organize and maintain all contracts, corporate records, and other legal records

• Prepare and file gaming regulatory licenses applications and renewals for the company’s subsidiary and affiliated entities

• Monitor, analyze, and track legislation and regulations affecting the company’s subsidiary licenses

• Prepare and file foreign entity registration statements and annual renewals to ensure affiliated entities remain in good standing

• Draft minutes and maintain corporate record books for affiliated entities

• Assist with establishing and dissolving corporate entities as directed

• Oversee leases for the company and maintain a summary of current facilities and business terms for each lease

• Assist in-house attorneys with review of lease terms

• Assist with review of trademarks for new products and review product catalogs for proper intellectual property markings

• Research patent and trademark databases for competitor products and assist in-house counsel with responses to any threatened litigation.

Requirements • Possess a Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program

• Proficient in handling Commercial Contracts

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality client service

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure.
