Google Technical Program Manager, Analytics and Insights in Dublin, Ireland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Candidates will typically have 2 years of experience in technical program management.

  • Typically 1 year of experience with SQL, BigQuery, Google Cloud products, or other data warehousing platforms.

  • Experience working with data analytics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience reporting on progress, risks, and mitigations to a diverse range of stakeholders from different job functions.

  • Experience in organizing and managing activities that lead to the outcomes of a project.

  • Understanding of networking and being comfortable working with engineers and with technology.

  • Ability to effectively adjust various levers to deliver results on time.

  • Ability to align stakeholders on decisions and changing circumstances, with excellent communication skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Google Enterprise Networking delivers an internal Enterprise network that provides service to more than a quarter million users around the world. The Enterprise Network Engineering team is responsible for making that network reliable and scalable, ensuring Google employees stay connected and productive. We do that by creating designs, developing software toolchains, and deploying hardware to keep our systems running smoothly. We are responsible for all Google offices, data centers, and specialty spaces, and that combination generates a constant stream of challenges that you will help solve with continuous innovation using an evolving set of technologies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable and reliable data quality solutions to business specifications. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear program plans for reliable product delivery.

  • Execute improvements to data ownership, lineage and quality through identification and surfacing of critical information and errors. Establish an operations measurement framework and develop and execute a long-term GEN data strategy.

  • Scope and deliver Data Analytics and Insights solutions to the GEN Delivery organization, and in partnership support the wider GEN organization with data analytic services.

  • Drive system and process development to improve the quality of analytics products with respect to data integrity, data quality, and data privacy.

  • Facilitate alignment between cross-functional teams on the program schedule, dependencies and priorities, manage risks by identifying threats and opportunities, providing risk management plans and monitoring execution for product delivery.
