Senior Analyst, Disaster Recovery & Operational Resilience Analyst – Erlanger, KY (on-site)

This is a full-time, exempt level position.

Position Summary:

This role will report to the Director Security Governance & Awareness within Global Information & Cyber Security as a member of the security governance team. The Senior Analyst role will be responsible to support and provide thought leadership within Global Technology for disaster recovery and business continuity planning coordinators for senior leadership globally. This role will be providing consult when developing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans which, facilitate the recovery of the organization’s important business services, critical assets, and processes in the event of a significant business disruption. Utilizing business continuity and operational resilience frameworks and methodology. Supporting Important Business Services Process Mapping, BIA’s, function level planning, recovery strategies, exercises and testing for assessment and measurement of risk mitigation and preparedness level. The role will also perform duties related to general incident management, incident tracking, and reporting for Global Technology Leadership. Performs other projects and duties as assigned. This role will reduce risk by continuously reviewing, refining, and recommending improvements in the Global Technology department, the Information Security operating model, policies, standards, and processes and provide reporting and recommendations to the CTO, CISO, and senior leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting business impact analysis (BIA’s) workshops defining critical time-sensitive functions and identification of required resources for business recovery.

  • Schedule and perform Business Impact Specialist interviews with business process owners and document results for analysis.

  • Conducting Important Business Service Mapping and Impact Tolerance Assessment.

  • Support recovery team’s creation of business continuity plans and subsequent maintenance, auditing, testing, and training.

  • Support the development and maintaining effective delivery of recovery strategies capabilities.

  • Assist with resolving business issues related to business function’s recovery planning and recovery plan development and enhancements.

  • Provide support to management and business functional areas when business disruption occurs.

  • Support management and risk reporting as required.

  • Assist with high complexity level project related work to support the department’s strategic objectives.

  • IT Disaster Recovery Planning: draft, update, and maintain comprehensive IT disaster recovery documentation include recovery playbooks and procedures.

  • Participate and contribute to technology project initiatives relating to enterprise risk assessments, disaster recovery, and technology risk management.

  • Work with technology leadership, business unit leadership and application owners to develop and maintain viable resiliency plans.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of continuity exercises; includes tracking, follow-up and reporting required to resolve any issues identified, to ensure the organization’s ability to recover.

  • Facilitate timely identification, escalation, resolution, and follow-up for all outstanding testing issues.

  • Maintain current knowledge and best practices in technology areas related to Business Continuity Management.

  • Assist in planning and execution of tabletop exercise relating to incident response, crisis management, and/or business continuity.

  • Help to define quality control attributes and/or develops basic test scenarios to support unit and functional testing of recovery controls.

  • Apply general industry and regulatory compliance knowledge to the benefit of the company and program.

  • Compile, review, and analyze continuity information to provide recommendations, metrics, and reports for management review and decision making.

  • Collaborate with key business units and capability stakeholders, including, but not limited to, Privacy, Global Technology, Internal Audit, InfoSec, Corporate Security, and HR to develop and improve resiliency across the enterprise.

  • Monitor compliance with Business Continuity policies and standards across the organization utilizing reporting and metrics. Drive compliance improvement to processes.

  • Perform functions in a timely manner and with extreme level of attention to detail, urgency, and thoroughness.

  • Willingness to be on-call and travel as required by the role. May be required to work weekends and/or extended hours; Requires on call 24/7 support.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, Operational Resilience or Operational Risk areas

  • Proficient Knowledge of Operational Resilience Regulation is required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior managers.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working independently and driving own initiatives.

  • Advanced skill level of MS Office suite including PowerPoint.

  • Experience in Agile Methodology a plus

  • Experience in Power BI a plus

  • Intellectual agility – the ability to learn and act on new information quickly and efficiently.

  • Experience in managing complex level projects.

  • Analytical thinking, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and training skills

  • Experience with C2 Business Continuity Planning tool is a plus.

  • 3-5 years of prior manufacturing or regulated industry is required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in developing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans for IT systems.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of risk assessment and control methods.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of end-user computing tools, hardware, application software, network, communications, and mobile technologies.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of information security policies, standards, and processes.

  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans impact organizational change.

  • Familiarity with complex multi-national companies and distributed business models.

  • Ability to work across the organization, building relationships and influencing peers and management through establishing trust and credibility.

  • Applies sound judgment and creativity to solve complex problems.

  • Ability to excel in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to drive discussions and influence decision making, strong presentation and reporting skills.

  • Proficient in technical writing and leveraging various creative mechanisms to communicate to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to communicate with and create documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong leadership

  • Limited travel required.

Certification

CBCP, CDRP, Business Continuity Management Professional a plus
