AWS Partner Network, Industry & Partner Solutions Center of Excellence works with Partners around the world who are addressing the most challenging and meaningful solutions in their respective industries. The team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager who has a passion for making an impact around the world, supporting AWS partners and customers to accelerate through programs that scale.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our AWS Partners and field teams in determining global and local needs, understanding seasonality and rhythm of global industry to best match customer demand to awareness of Partner solutions. You will be responsible for full lifecycle management, and have an ability to discern technical content and contributions. You will set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements and seek diverse opinions through an inclusive and collaborative environment.

As a Sr. TPM you will generate enthusiasm and action around ideas and/or solutions and assist in the implementation of the idea and/or solution around the world. You thrive in environments that require tenacity, committing to the idea and/or solution and ensuring that through completion the desired results are achieved.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Industry specific motions for 11 Industries, recognizing the technical diversity of the solution space and global stakeholders.

  • Galvanize collaborative cross-functional teamwork, communication, and collaboration, introducing and scaling repeatable mechanisms.

  • Manage multiple programs, including timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication.

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues, and risks seeing around corners for potential technical and business blockers.

  • Coordinate with Solutions Architects to generate enthusiasm for completed builds through awareness and gamification.

  • Proven experience in technical program management, preferably in a cloud computing or software development environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

  • 3+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
