The Senior Manager, Technical Architecture is responsible for managing a Technical Architecture team of specialists and assists with managing the implementation of the strategic plans and objectives for the department. They provide tactical operational management of the team and will plan and organise the required resources to ensure that the team can operate efficiently.

They ensure that their Technical Architecture teams have the required skills, knowledge and expertise to specify and design solutions to meet a client’s overall business requirements.

Working at NTT

  • Manages Technical Architecture teams effectively and within the required parameters set by Human Resources. This includes hiring staff, setting team goals, and conducting performance reviews

  • Manages the implementation of the vision, goals, and measures of success for the Technical Architecture teams, recognizing the current team maturity and skills of the team members

  • Coach/mentor and provide management and leadership to the members of the team

  • Acts as an advisor and decision maker in technical design and build situations of complex client solutions

  • Manages operational objectives for the Technical Architecture team

  • Guides the team in terms of successful implementation and execution of system solutions

  • Supports the development of solution/technical architectures in complex and specific business, infrastructure or functional areas

  • Provides necessary assistance / guidance regarding the pre-sales technical support and expertise in analysing client requirements, in conjunction with the client’s current infrastructure, architecture, system capabilities and business challenges

  • Understand, influence and design organisation structures, capabilities, processes and operating models

  • Participate in the development of long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the Technical Architecture objectives are consistent with the business’ long-term business objectives

  • Measure the value of the efforts of the Technical Architecture team and present those measures to stakeholders within the business to earn buy in for the function and the funding it requires

  • Participate in vendor and supplier management related to our business objectives

  • Relevant vendor and industry certifications advantageous, specifically: - Cisco, HPE Aruba, Infoblox & F5
