Air Education and Training Command Human Resources Specialist in Lackland AFB, Texas

Summary This primary assigned location will be the JBSA Lackland NAF Human Resources Office but may be required to also work from other JBSA locations. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to assists the Human Resources Officer (HRO) in the performance of technical and management advisory personnel functions of the NAF Personnel Program. Assists in implementing NAF HR policies and directives while providing technical expertise and assistance in specialized areas such as recruitment & placement, classification, employee and labor relations, suitability/fitness determinations, compensation, and benefits. Assists with special project for JBSA. Assists with position classification for all locations serviced. May be required to work from any JBSA location. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have progressively responsible experience in substantive NAF personnel management and administration. Must be thoroughly experienced with the full range of NAF personnel policies and procedures. Must have position classification experience. Must have experience with as well as skills in interpreting and applying regulations, policies, practices, and procedures covering NAF personnel management programs. Must possess computer experience and have experience of the automated NAF personnel data system. Must have experience with personal computer applications such as Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access, and the Internet. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of NAF personnel experience including substantive knowledge of the rules, regulations, procedures and program requirements of NAF personnel administration. 2. Knowledge and skills required to complete position classification. 3. Knowledge and skills with personal computer applications such as Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access, and the Internet. 4. Knowledge of the automated NAF personnel data systems. 5.
