Robert Half is working with a growing construction company in the MetroWest of Boston who is looking to add to their existing accounting team. In this exciting opportunity, you'll take the reins of our clients' accounts payable processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operations at every step. Your role will involve not just managing invoices, but being a pivotal point of contact for vendors and internal teams alike. You'll dive into the details, meticulously entering and posting invoices, scanning email submissions for approval, and expertly coding purchase orders. You'll also be the go-to person for vendor inquiries, resolving issues swiftly and keeping our payment processes running like clockwork.

As part of your responsibilities, you'll handle check printing, file management, and reconcile paid invoices, ensuring our financial records are always up to date and accurate. You'll also play a crucial role in month-end processes, ensuring everything is in order for reporting and analysis.

To excel in this role, you'll need to bring your high school diploma or equivalent, along with two to three years of experience in accounts payable or a related field. However, if you have a two-year degree in accounting or a related field, that's even better! Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, will also set you apart, enabling you to streamline processes and drive efficiency in our operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AP/AR Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are essential

• Knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions are necessary

• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle Check Processing tasks efficiently

• Demonstrated skills in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in identifying and resolving Discrepancies in financial records

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
