BRIDGE Housing Corporation Claims Analyst in San Francisco, California

Summary

The Claims Analyst is responsible for completing requests for certificates of insurance and ensuring that property and general liability claims are completed accurately and . The Analyst also provides day-to-day support to Insurance team related to all lines of insurance, incident reporting/tracking and policy renewals, based on the direction of the Director of Risk Management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Insurance inbox and ensure all emails and inquiries are addressed timely.

  • Review Incident Reports and determine if an Insurance Claim needs to be opened.

  • Coordinate data collection & communicate with Brokers, Adjusters & Attorneys on Claims.

  • Work with Property management and Asset management to investigate, document, complete repairs & close out claims timely.

  • Maintain accounting forms for each claim by logging all the expense and coordinate with insurance adjusters to receive full reimbursement.

  • Review and get the proof of loss forms executed and submit to the adjuster.

  • Update claims and incidents tracker and circulate to Asset Management, Property Management, and Accounting teams bi-weekly.

  • Participate in Claims review meetings.

  • Be able to report on all open property claims at any given moment, understand where the claim is in the process of being closed.

  • Request and distribute insurance certificates as requested by stakeholders.

  • Assist with policy renewals.

  • Process insurance related invoices in partnership with the Accounts Payable team.

  • Other Insurance/Risk management activities as needed.

    Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in an office setting

  • Knowledge of record keeping, invoice verification and account reconciliations

  • Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills

  • Ability to be organized and manage multiple priorities

  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • High attention to detail and effective prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently

    Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in risk management, claims management and insurance matters
