ActioNet, Inc Mid-Level .Net Software Applications Developer in Vienna, Virginia

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Mid-level .Net Software Applications Developer requiring a Secret Clearance located in Vienna, VA. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, creating and modifying general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.

  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.

  • Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

  • Analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

  • May supervise computer programmers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of software application development.

  • Strong experience with ASP.Net/Web services, XML, XSLT, Java script, Ajax, jQuery, ADO.NET, MS Model View Controller (MVC).

  • Understands application, network security principles and web security including OWASP

  • Experience with source control systems such as Team Foundation, VSS, or SVN.

  • Experience with SharePoint 2016, extensive knowledge of IIS, HTML/CSS.

  • Intermediate level knowledge of database, MS operating systems experience with MS SQL Server 2014/16.

  • Extensive knowledge with reporting tools such as Crystal reports, SQL reporting service or any .NET reporting tools.

  • Participates in systems design, working within an established framework

  • Performs coding and/or configuration to meet documented needs, utilizing standard procedures and techniques

  • Experience creating prototype systems, troubleshooting securitization issues within a production setting and launching systems

  • Interfaces with business analysts and/or customers to clarify requirements

  • Contributes to the development of test plans and participates in post-implementation reviews

  • Provide daily operational support for production systems including providing on-call support

  • Writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures

  • Ability to create and modify scripts to manipulate multiple tables, columns, and rows.

  • Ability to perform data analysis to determine quality of data and to estimate level of effort to systematically repair data when possible

  • Intermediate level administering and troubleshooting SQL Server databases.

  • Significant experience normalizing and importing raw data (spreadsheets) into a RDBMS.

  • Demonstrates understanding of application development methods as well as the fundamentals of requirement specification, design, coding, and testing of business applications systems

  • Has a strong working understanding of installed systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve many problems on the existing system(s) supported

  • Participates in technical design, contributing insights and ideas

  • Successfully troubleshoots most applications problems independently, determining the root cause and fixing the problem

  • Contributes to the development of project plans, identifies key milestones, and raises critical project risks and issues such as resource needs and contingencies

  • Must be DoD 8570 compliant 2 months of hire date

  • Active Secret Clearance
