Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking an AWS Automation Test Engineer (TS Clearance Required) with a Top-Secret Security Clearance to support TGS and our government customer in Washington, DC.

We are seeking a Mid-level Automation Test Engineer (Top-Secret Clearance required) with AWS experience to join a data warehouse and business intelligence (BI) team supporting our federal client working to migrate an on-prem Oracle Enterprise Edition (EE) data warehouse to Redshift data warehouse in AWS. This is a full-time position with on-site work performed at the client’s office in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in tandem with our QA/Test Engineer lead, developers, and analysts to develop regression test suite to execute prior to code drop in pre-production and production environments for both data warehouse and reporting application.

  • Develop test automation suite to validate data load from Oracle transactional system to Redshift Data Warehouse

  • Perform integration testing to validate data push/pull to/from external systems.

  • Develop and maintain reusable code to help build streamlined and efficient automated test processes.

  • Analyze and evaluate defect metrics, providing feedback and reports to developers.

  • Validate BI TIBCO WebFOCUS report values matches with the values in Redshift Data Warehouse

  • Perform end to end testing to validate data movement from OLTP to OLAP to BI reports.

  • Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system.

  • Create test plan and additional documentation for automated processes including test procedures, test dependencies, and test cases.

  • Incorporate test automation suite into a CI/CD pipeline using GitLab and GitLab runner.

  • Ensure test scripts and test data are expanded and updated as needed throughout the testing lifecycles.

Requirements:

  • Top-Secret Clearance required.

  • BS Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • 2-4 years test automation experience (creating and executing test scripts, defect management, facilitating user acceptance testing)

  • Experience in AWS cloud data architecture including Redshift, Lambda, SQS, SNS and S3 bucket.

  • Develop test scripts to validate data load from Oracle transactional system to Redshift Data warehouse.

  • Strong SQL knowledge to validate ETL data load and data transformation jobs in Redshift.

  • Perform integration testing to validate data push/pull to/from external systems.

  • Experience with automation testing using Java and Selenium

  • Configuring automated and regression tests in CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with the full scope of the testing lifecycle (e.g., develop test plan, create test scripts, test the system, coordinate with business analysts and developers to resolve defects, facilitate UAT, etc.)

  • 2-4 years of writing automated test using Selenium WebDriver

  • Strong understanding of page object model

  • Strong experience in serenity BDD and Cucumber framework

  • Experience performing regression, integration, and manual testing.

  • Ability to provide input on the functional requirements in order to perform effective testing as they are written.

  • Experience designing customized test cases and scripts based on the requirements for both internal testing and external/UAT testing.

  • Experience planning for and facilitating UAT and performance testing.

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
