Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Watertown, NY client of his to find their next Sr. Grant Accountant.

The Senior Grant Accountant will help be responsible for the comprehensive financial management and oversight of grants awarded to the organization. This role includes ensuring compliance with all grant regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with various departments to manage and optimize grant funding.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Management:

• Help oversee the financial aspects of grant management from pre-award to post-award.

• Review and interpret grant agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

• Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and compliance with applicable regulations.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports to grantors.

• Ensure all financial records related to grants are maintained in accordance with organizational policies and grantor requirements.

• Reconcile grant-related general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation and review of grant budgets.

• Provide financial projections and cash flow analysis related to grant funding.

• Collaborate with program managers to develop budget modifications and justifications.

Collaboration and Support:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related financial inquiries.

• Work closely with program staff to provide financial guidance and support.

  Requirements

• Proven experience with grants.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
