Job Description IT Database Administrator 212 W 2nd St, Winona, MN 55987 HEADD Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time IT Database Administrator, you will be responsible for data management across the enterprise. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Managing databases across an Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NOSQL Database technology stack o Troubleshooting data replication and integrity across the enterprise o Performing and tuning along with SQL & PL/SQL development o Writing and maintaining technical support documentation for applications o Adhering to security best practices, access control, and security policies o Demonstrates day-to-day adherence with change control concepts and practices o Providing 24x7 support on critical systems in an on-call rotation REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess or working towards a degree in Information Technology, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science OR possess 3 years of work experience in a Database administration/management position o Demonstrate knowledge in scripting and performance tuning o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient computer skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Experience with Linux Operating Systems o Experience with scripting fundamentals o Familiarity with Oracle Golden Gate o Certification within Oracle Database o Experience managing database technologies in an on-premise, as well as public and private cloud deployments (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.) ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
